"Reverie: alONE" is an adventure platformer set in a surreal universe where time and memory are inextricably entwined. The online game is accessible there. The player assumes control of the main character, who travels to many locales throughout the course of a very personal and introspective adventure. They uncover the depths of their own brains and the mysteries of their own histories as they travel.

The descent of the coka into despair is shown in this game. There are five acts, each of which represents a distinct phase. It's not a race or a contest; rather, my goal was to convey the range of my feelings and experiences via the repetition of a single gesture. I varied the music in each location to give you the option of spending more time there to pace and contemplate.





Inspiration: 

"Reverie: alONE" draws inspiration from games such as "Journey" and "Inside," which use minimalist storytelling and immersive gameplay to explore deep emotional themes. The game also draws inspiration from themes of introspection and self-discovery found in works of literature and film.


"To Benjamin, 'garbage/trash' was the trivial part, the detail of enormous things, the minute." His way of thinking was dubbed "micrology." His focus on them was a response to the movements of an era in which the desire for power was still aimed towards spatially massive items. The second half of the twentieth century, on the other hand, is an era of 'posts': 'postindustrial,' 'postmodern,' 'postcolonial,' 'postnuclear,'... each of which circles on the axis of time and is dispatched. In this context, insignificant and minute things cease to be alternatives to the will to power since power not only no longer seeks vast things, but it also embraces the trivial and minute. As a result,'small is lovely.’"


Every day, I clean up the litter of my thoughts and feelings and use it to further the tale of my life. The emotional cycles I keep going through in this game are really intriguing and unpleasant, and I want to finish the ultimate assemblage of them. If you do too, it would make me very pleased.
